The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department trains it's officers in many law enforcement fields. Each officer goes through the academy training course in order to preform above and beyond in the line of duty.

Officers will learn methods on how to maintain control of their cruisers. These methods deal with crash avoidance, traffic stops, felony traffic stops, high speed pursuits, P.I.T. maneuvers, setting up speed traps and road blocks, and other techniques. Training for these scenarios usually takes place at the Department's EVOC track.
